When doing this, we advise you to draw out a plan of your room or rooms that you plan on installing underfloor heating to make things as easy and straight forward as possible.

Things to bare in mind - any fixed furniture such as kitchen cabinets or bathtubs will not require underfloor heating to be installed beneath them. So when you work out your room dimensions, it is important to take the dimensions of any fixed furniture away from the overall room dimensions so that you are left with the total heated area.

When choosing a heat mat, it is vital that you get a size that will fit comfortably within the nett area, for instance if you have a room that is 5.4sq.m, you should choose a mat that will cover 5sq.m.
